Play The Majors is a collaboration of an idea by founder's Brian Cronin "avid golfer" and Craig Smith "Club Professional" at the Pukekohe Golf Club.

The Pukekohe Golf Club is located in a quite country setting 25 minutes drive from central Auckland, New Zealand.

The members are keen supporters of all thing golf related and the idea of a sweepstake/picking contest revolving around the major golf tournaments was something they took to keenly.

Along the way there have been other followers join in on the fledgling idea and it has now progressed from an idea on a spreadsheet to what became at the 2015 US Open a fully operational online golf contest, available to all on the world wide web.
