Another Majors completed with Bryson DeChambeau proving too good for Matthew Wollf on a day that would see DeChambeau as the only player to break par, incidentally only three other players played to the even par seventy.

Regretfully my lasting memory of this open will be DeChambeau's notebook and the thought that he will have sucked the life out of any challenge Matthew Wollf may have mounted with the pace of play continually being dictated by his behaviour.
Ful credit to him but pleeeease USGA if you want to make the event something that is enjoyable to watch do something with the course difficulty and ban the use of notebooks!!
